there are a few things i learnt this summer.

that some people will surprise you. impress you. they may subsequently disappoint you.

that one should never go chasing after a feeling one had before because that moment has passed. and even if you do recapture that moment, it is fleeting. frequently, the chase requires too much effort and sacrifice and even then, the moment might never happen.

that people are ultimately, people.

that i really should be spending summer lazing on the beach.

that at age twenty-two, i am still very much a procrastinator.


i am pondering a new haircut - fauxhawk anyone?
